The Last Outfit Project
To start a conversation about the rising rate of knife crime in London, we made a clothing line. On one side we hand printed black blocks, each one representing a life lost to knife crime in London so far that year - by the time the last t-shirt was printed, the number had already risen. On the back of the shirt we hand printed purple blocks, each one representing a youth centre in London that had closed due to lack of funding, which had a direct link to rising knife crime. We made 50 t-shirts and hung them in areas where knife crime had reportedly happened that year.

We contacted Lives Not Knives, a London based charity that’s still doing amazing work to educate and support the youth and loved our stunt idea. We decided to put their information on our t-shirt tags to encourage people to make a one off £3 donation to the charity by simply texting their number…and it worked.

We even took 10 of our shirts to London Fashion Week and hung them on railings on The Strand to make a bigger statement. It didn’t take long for people to notice them, examine the tags and take them home. We got a feature in Campaign Live for our stunt.
