Pitch win. Spotlighting the lack of funding women entrepreneurs get, we coined the movement #GirlcottDay. It’s not about pushing men out but about dedicating a day to truly put women in business first since only 2% of women entrepreneurs get VC funding in the U.S.

In the run up to #GirlcottDay we create a site where businesses can back American women entrepreneurs by downloading assets for them to put up in stores, we also send out merch to anywhere that wants to be involved.
We create a film where we set up a supermarket in a studio, slowly, we begin to take away each product founded by men. Eventually we are left with the products made by women, which amount to an extremely small part of the shelf space.

On #GirlcottDay itself, we set up a pop up in the middle of Times Square where every product sold is one made by a woman founder.
We make it easier for consumers to buy female by adding a filter to sites like Amazon where there is a category especially for products made by women. We have a subscription service where customers can get snacks made by women within the Stacy’s Ris…

We make it easier for consumers to buy female founded items by adding toggles to eCommerce sitesand creating a #Girlcott card so that customers can get rewarded whenever they buy female.

We partner with influencers like The Try Guys and Refinery29’s Try Living with Lucie to challenge them to spend a whole day only buying female. As well as this, we challenge popular YouTubers to film a #GirlcottDay haul where they share products the…

We give media outlets a chance to Girlcott by donating space in their magazines or time in their podcast series to promoting female lead businesses.
